Starting October 26, Echoes of America presents Haunted Alton: The History, Legends & Hauntings of Alton, Illinois.
The five-part series will visit the Mississippi River, revisit the turbulent history surrounding Elijah P. Lovejoy, explore McPike Mansion and the Mineral Springs Hotel, and examine the ghost lights and legends that still draw attention to Alton.
Each installment will be published in the morning from October 27 through October 31. We’ll honor the historical record while clearly identifying folklore and reported paranormal experiences.
